a parlor game, nothing more. But sometimes, just sometimes, these stupid horoscopes are so right on it's creepy. Really creepy...While I glance at the daily one in the newspaper, which is always a total joke, most months I don't check my horoscope but this month I did. My horoscope this month gave me pause - it's like someone has been eavesdropping on my conversations, hiding in my house, sneaking around gathering information and is so bloody specific to what is going on right now, I clicked off the page and just stared at the blank screen.
I didn't read the whole February horoscope, I tend to skip over the romance and work related stuff since neither is a part of my life but the main part - woo-eee. Actually some of it was some common sense advice I hadn't thought about but should have and now am.
Big picture, have to keep my eyes on the big picture - not my best skill, I'm the detail person; I'm the organizer-list maker. Unfortunately my husband is also a detail person - gonna be a bumpy couple of months!
I've always found it amusing too. Sometimes freaky right on... other times totally off the mark. I really don't think a generalized horoscope for your sun sign can give you a lot of insight. And yet, there are some astrologers out there who do good job of it... guess it depends on who you read. I believe you always had a liking for Susan Miller... she is one of the better ones.
ReplyDeleteI don't often read horoscopes but when I do sometimes they are hogwash and sometimes they fit.
ReplyDeleteI read them for amusement occasionally and am always struck by when they are on target with something happening in my life. You have me really curious about yours though! It's going to be interesting to see what happens in your life the next few months!
ReplyDeleteWell now, of course, I'd like to see that horoscope! I haven't read them in many years, took them extremely seriously when I was a kid, and then when I went to see that astrologer last year ... some of what she said was freaky on. Some not. I don't know what I think of this stuff anymore.
ReplyDeleteI think you can keep your eyes on the prize, on the big picture. So looking forward to seeing what is next for you.
Good grief - how in heavens did you remember that??? Indeed, you are right - Susan Miller, Astrology Zone - I've been reading her for years.
ReplyDeleteTruth to tell mostly they are hogwash LOL I just can't imagine all the people in the world born within the same calendar period are going to have the same experience. There are some who would say you have to have a very specific horoscope done to get any real insight and I suppose that makes sense but even then how many people where born at the same time at the same place - I can't imagine I was the only baby born at the Bronx Central Maternity Hospital at 7:25 pm on Oct. 17, 1946...
ReplyDeleteIt's been years since I've read a horoscope that had anything even remotely pertinent to my life ...It's going to be a very stressful next few months...
ReplyDeleteYou can read it HERE. That won't open in a new window, for some reason that code won't work in these comments, you'll have to back arrow to return here - but you're a Libra too, I believe. See if any of it speaks to you...
ReplyDeleteWow. That is a highly detailed horoscope. Some of it does speak to me ... and I have to say that I wonder if I will be around for the next appearance of Saturn (it's that stuff that was most relevant to me ... )
ReplyDeleteNo reason why you wouldn't be around then, I can't imagine I will be, or if I am, I don't think I will care much :)
ReplyDeleteI read horoscopes for kicks--just to see if they apply or not and I'm always amazed when they are right on. Mine is tough because I'm on the cusp of two signs and sometimes I have to read both to see if either apply. I'm amazed on how accurate they are for the most part.
ReplyDeleteSo, when are you gonna spill the beans on what is happening?? I'm dying over here. :) Can I guess?? Are you moving, by chance?????
I can't say that I have come across any even vaguely accurate horoscopes in years - this month was the first time in years...I think it's a bunch of hokum...
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be nice if there were something more to astrology and horoscopes? All of our problems would be solved before we got them. Then life might get too boring. I'm happy that they're only a bit of fun.
ReplyDeleteNo sweetie, they are supposed to be guiding you - as one famous astrologer said "The stars impel, they don't compel." Same thing with psychic readings - nothing is carved in stone - it becomes a matter of "fore warned is fore armed"
ReplyDeleteAmusing is a good term. I don't believe in this type of thing, but I guess at some point in time it would be right on the money. Accident I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
